CO-ED MEN, WOMEN AND TEENS 13+

Minnesota School of Martial Arts is proud to be affiliated with Cleber Jiu Jitsu, of the Gracie Jiu Jitsu Lineage.  Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) has been called the "gentle art" meaning it was designed to utilize leverage and submissions to defend against a larger opponent and does not use striking.  BJJ requires skillful technique and strategy to beat an opponent, an can be known as "a game of human chess". It has been shown to be a very effective martial art for self-defense. By using both cardio and resistance exercises, BJJ practitioners become physically stronger while building self-confidence and mental fortitude while encouraging drive and overcoming challenges mentally and physically.

Offering classes for all levels of fitness from beginner to expert. We are here to help you achieve your individual goals whether it be self defense, competition or getting in shape.  We pride ourselves in offering low pressure atmosphere and a family friendly environment

Q: How do I get started?

A: Show up and step in the door, wear something comfortable, introduce yourself and observe a class or join us on the mats for a free week trial.

 

Our adult classes require a $200 one time registration fee. This fee is directly applied to processing and the MSMA uniform/custom Gi, which is required for adult Jiu-Jitsu belting advancement

* Those taking part in striking only can customize registration to apply directly toward gloves and hand wraps.  Please see instructor for further details.

Many members qualify for further discounts based on prepayments, family memberships, emergency personnel, active military memberships, etc. Please discuss with instructor in person.
